FINDING CONTENTMENT

002

I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I have learned the secret of living in every situation. Philippians 4:11-12

I keep repeating this over and over.

I have learned to be content in whatever circumstance I face…

I have learned to be content.

I have learned to be content with whatever ‘weight’ I face…

I have learned the secret of living in every situation.

The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and then He saved me. Now I can rest again, for the Lord has been so good to me.

He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And I so walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth!~

Hallelujah!~

I believed in You, so I prayed, “I am deeply troubled, Lord,”

In my anxiety I cried out to You, “These people are all liars!” What can I offer the Lord for all He has done for me?

I will lift up a cup symbolizing His salvation; I will praise the Lord’s Name for saving me. I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all His people.

The Lord’s loved ones are precious to Him; it grieves Him when they die. O Lord, I am Your servant; yes, I am Your servant the son of Your handmaid, and You have freed me from my bonds!~Psalm 116:6-16

amen amen amen

blessings, angela

  1. I don’t know about you, but learning to be content and doing my best to love God and love others is a huge fulltime never-ending activity. Yet, He wouldn’t tell us to strive for something unattainable. And He knows these 2 aspects are knitted together, so we must endeavor to make Him smile by even our attempts. See, I don’t worry about failure in this. God knows we’ll get it eventually. Just like watching our babies learn to walk. We are joyous and happy and ever encouraging to babies when they try to stand by themselves or walk by themselves and land on their bum. What do we do? Smile. Hug them. Help them stand again. That’s our Father. He loves our efforts just as much as meeting the goal.

    • amen amen amen and again I declare amen..That’s our Father. He loves our efforts just as much as meeting the goal…..I picture Him standing away from us, giving us those encouraging words as we make our attempts to walk towards Him….

  2. Wisdom is the art of living skillfully in whatever actual conditions we find ourselves. (a Eugene Peterson quote. Your topic here made me think of it. Also, how about this one by Richard Rohr: “Maturity is the ability to joyfully live in an imperfect world.”

Sometimes I wonder if I’ll EVER be wise and mature!
    ♥ you, Angela!
