SURGERY CANCELLED

I’m back home from work.  Didn’t even start my shift.

This is something I posted to my tribe at Dr.Bert’s Fast-5 Facebook group.

I’m bringing it here to my blog and Facebook page for anyone else that is in my tribe. Sharing my heart.

 

My window opened super early with cream in my coffee (it is NOT a deal breaker though for my success at this moment). I ‘broke’ my fast at work with having a coffee with a touch of cream.

I’m back home because as I told my supervisor, “I don’t think I can be ‘nice’ today without breaking down”.

I could not hold back the tears. It just hurt too much to contain them.

Found out the surgery is cancelled on Thursday for Aria. She has a runny nose and cough. She NEEDS this surgery as soon as possible.

I do have to say I had the most enriching conversation with a student at the College while I was waiting for my Dad to pick me up and give me a ride home. I didn’t feel like taking the bus home bawling like I did on the bus going to work this morning.

A difference of perspective came about. Put your hand away from you and look at the view around it. Pull your hand now right to your nose. How is that view now?

This student shared with me her own journey of having a critically ill child and our conversation flowed that I was greatly ministered by it.

Someone who has walked the path I am taking now and got to the other side of it.Since I am now surrounded by such an amazing TRIBE who is working so hard to live a whole and healthy life, I am going to finish my black cup of coffee I am having right now, get me a bottle of water and head out for a walk!~ It’s been a long time.

Ok, now that I have finished this blog post, now I will get those shoes on and head out for a walk.

It is well with my soul.

God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

I thank God for each of you that are in my life who have been praying, supporting, encouraging and loving me and mine.

Thank you.

DON’T CRY

A student  sat down with me on my lunch to ask me why was I crying the other day when she saw me?

That question brought tears bubbling out.

“Don’t cry”, she said.

I told that I was dealing with some big struggles and I couldn’t tell her exactly what I would be crying over that day she saw me.

Yesterday’s tears that welled up were not only because of that question but brought forth because I was feeling like a failure.

I know I’m not.

God didn’t say I was.

Circumstances, stress and relationships sure can do a number on my emotions.

This beautiful young Sikh shared from her heart with me about the times she cried a lot about her life and the struggles she is having now but she has learned with God nothing is impossible♥

I told her when she had a chance to go and read the motivational quote that was on the board at Timmie’s…

We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible. Vince Lombardi

I thanked her for caring and sharing her heart with me. Was able to get a hug♥

I realized this early morning this was God’s way of telling me…

“Angela, don’t cry. You don’t need to cry. Your a mighty warrior princess daughter. Battle on precious one. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. With God, nothing is impossible”

So I got my big girl panties on once again.

Of course tonight I will be crying like a baby…but that’s ok. Sometimes the tears need to flow.
